Background
Dr. McDonald received his undergraduate degree from St. John’s University and earned is medical doctorate at the University of Minnesota. He completed Master of Science degree and residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. McDonald completed a Fellowship training in orthopaedic oncology at the Mayo Clinic and at the Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli at the University of Bolonga in Bologna, Italy. He currently serves as Chief of the Musculoskeletal Oncology Service in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Before joining the orthopaedic faculty at Washington University, Dr. McDonald served as Professor and Vice Chairman as well as Residency Program Director in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at St. Louis University.
