Research Interests

Cementless total knee replacement, robotic hip and knee replacement, patient reported outcomes in hip and knee arthroplasty, and the hip-spine relationship in hip arthroplasty.

Ongoing research: 

  • Synovial fluid analysis in the setting of trunnionosis: Do elevated values indicate corrosion, infection, or both?
  • Does robotic-arm assisted reaming result in improved initial stability of press-fit acetabular implants?
  • Determining noise levels in robotic-assisted total joint arthroplasty?
  • Book Chapter Submitted. Complications in Orthopaedic Surgery: Adult Reconstruction, Painful total hip arthroplasty workup.

Background

Dr. Bartosiak earned her medical degree at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, IL, and graduated with research honors. She then completed an orthopedic residency at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO, and an orthopedic fellowship in hip and knee reconstruction at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL.
