Dr. Tam has research interests in preventive care in patients with spinal cord injury and health equity and healthcare access in patients with disabilities.

Dr. Tam earned a medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. She then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York, NY and a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab/Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. She is fellowship trained in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine from the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation/Rutgers University in West Orange, NJ.
