The Washington University Orthopedics and Barnes-Jewish Hospital hip and knee program is nationally recognized, and is a designated Medicare Joint Center of Excellence. Our program has held the Joint Commission's prestigious Gold Seal of Approval since 2011 for demonstrated care safety and quality of joint replacement procedures.

We offer the best care to our patients through comprehensive, research-based techniques that improve care and increase positive outcomes. Most of our patients are up and walking the day of surgery and sent home the day after surgery.
