Letter to Referring Physicians
Dear Referring Physician,
Thank you for choosing Washington University Orthopedics. We are committed to providing excellent service and care to you and your patient.
At our orthopedic center in Chesterfield, we have the ability to perform many minimally invasive procedures on an outpatient basis.
Offices are also located on Washington University Medical Center campus at the Center for Advanced Medicine and St. Louis Children's Hospital.
Our fellowship-trained orthopaedic specialists are experts in their respective subspecialties. For example, Drs. Bridwell and Buchowski each only see patients with spinal difficulties, while Drs. Gelberman, Boyer, Calfee and Goldfarb care for patients with problems and injuries relating to the hand and wrist. With this degree of specialization, we know that we can offer you and your patient the best orthopaedic care anywhere.
We also have a physician "on call" Monday through Friday who is willing to see patients in need of emergent care. This way, patients in your office who need immediate attention can be sent over without delay.
Our faculty members are also actively involved in innovative research efforts. Research is conducted in the Biomechanical and Cell Biology Laboratories located on the Washington University School of Medicine campus. This unique blend of academic and clinical excellence ultimately translates into superior patient care.
Our practice is committed to both patient and referring physician satisfaction. We conduct patient satisfaction surveys on an ongoing basis. Any patients with concerns or complaints are put in contact with our clinical administrator so she may immediately resolve any issues.
Our clinical administrators personally call on referring physician offices to solicit feedback, distribute referring physician satisfaction surveys, and communicate directly with office staff about the referral process. The practice also conducts focus groups comprised of referring physicians, Washington University physicians and departmental administrators to address any suggestions to improve our service.
