Dr. Blatnik's research interests include youth injury prevention, sports-related concussions, and the female athlete.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Blatnik specializes in the nonoperative treatment of all musculoskeletal sports-related conditions in pediatric and adolescent patients ages 5 and above, including overuse injuries in children, apophysitis, sports-related concussions, female athlete triad, shoulder pain, elbow pain, wrist injuries, hip pain, knee injuries, ankle sprains, finger and toe injuries, stress fractures, simple fractures, clavicle fractures, and shin splints.

Background

Dr. Blatnik received her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She then completed a Pediatric Residency and a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship from the University Hospitals Case Medical Center. Prior to arriving at Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. Blatnik served as a Pediatric Physician for Cleveland Clinic Children's in Cleveland, OH. Dr. Blatnik has experience providing team physician coverage, serving as a Team Physician for the Gymnastics World in Brecksville, OH, Assistant Team Physician for Lake Erie College, Assistant Team Physician for Case Western Reserve University, Team Physician for Hawken High School, Assistant Team Physician for Ursuline College and an Injury Clinic Physician for Elite Gymnastics. Dr. Blatnik is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), American Medical Sports Medicine Association (AMSSM), American Academy of Pediatrics and the Council on Sports Medicine and Fitness.
