Meet Olivia Robinson
Athletic Trainer
Where are you from?
Kirkwood, MO
What brought you to WashU Medicine Orthopedics?
After spending the last seven years as a secondary school athletic trainer, I wanted to transition into a different setting and deepen my knowledge for orthopedic trauma.
How do you support the department?
As an Athletic Trainer for Dr. Obey and the trauma team, I support the department by getting patients ready to see our providers, keeping clinic running smoothly, and helping answer any questions that our patients may have.
What aspect of your work do you find most interesting and rewarding?
What I find most rewarding is being part of the team that helps patients recover from injury and, at times, severe disability, and seeing them return to their normal daily lives.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
Traveling with my fiancé.
What's the best advice you ever received?
"It never gets easier, you just get better."
If you weren't in healthcare, what would you like to be doing?
A hiking guide in any of the four corner states (Arizona, Colorado, New Mexica and Utah)!
Anything else you'd like to share?
I love the outdoors, plants and my dog Poppy!
