Meet Alli Rittenhouse
Administrative Coordinator
Where are you from?
I grew up in Belleville, IL.
What brought you to Washington University Orthopedics?
I have been wanting to work for WashU for years because of the amazing benefits and everything that they contribute to the community. It makes me feel good to be supporting a doctor that I know is making a difference!
How do you support the department?
I am an administrative coordinator for Dr. Strelzow in the hand division.
What aspect of your work do you find most interesting and rewarding?
I got my bachelor’s degree in exercise science and anatomy has always been something that interests me. I hope to go back to school to obtain my master’s degree in occupational therapy one day.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
I have a 3-year-old boy who is my entire world. We have two Australian shepherds, one that is still a puppy. Outside of work, I do real estate part time. I also love to be doing anything outdoors. My husband and I visit a different national park every year and try to do a challenging hike at each one!
If you weren't in healthcare, what would you like to be doing?
My other passion is anything fitness related. I love to help change people’s mindset on physical activity from being just a number on the scale and how their body looks, to the quality and longevity of their life and how physical activity impacts that.
