Meet Connie St. Peters

Medical Records Clerk

Where are you from?

I am from Alton, Illinois. Fun fact that Alton is listed as the most Haunted Small Town in America! Also it is the home of the World’s Tallest Man, Robert Wadlow.

What brought you to Washington University Orthopedics?

I have worked in Medical Records for ten years and an opportunity was available at Washington University so I jumped at the chance to work for a prestigious University and department.

How do you support the department?

I assist my team in scanning and indexing records for Orthopedics.

What aspect of your work do you find most interesting and rewarding?

My role is vital ensuring that the patients information are entered correctly. My position supports clinical decision making and contributes to the overall quality for patient care.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?

I am a die hard Cardinal fan, I love the Blues also. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen making comfort foods and love reading.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

Best advice is to treat people like you want to be treated.

If you weren't in healthcare, what would you like to be doing?

If I wasn’t in healthcare I would love to work at the Front Office for the Cardinals.

Anything else you'd like to share?

I have a son named Alex and we have a beautiful golden retriever named Aubree Grace.
