Meet Megan Brown

Administrative Coordinator 

Where are you from? 

I am an Army brat, I have traveled all over the world but I spent the latter part of my teenage years in St. Louis, MO.

What brought you to Washington University Orthopedics? 

I was looking for an organization and department where I could grow and where I could use my education and work skills to add value to my team.

How do you support the department? 

I am the administrative coordinator for Doug Easler, Executive Director of Business Affairs and Nick Wiscons, Senior Director of Clinical Operations. 

What aspect of your work do you find most interesting or rewarding? 

Variety and freedom. I love the fact that I am given different types of tasks and then given the freedom to get the job done. My bosses know that when they ask me to do something it will get done, tasks are prioritized and followed up on frequently.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of work? 

Might sound boring, but I love to crawl up on the couch with a good book.

What's the best advice you ever received?

To trust the process. You are exactly where you are supposed to be at the time you are supposed to be there. 

Anything else you’d like to share? 

I have three wonderful kiddos that challenge me every day to be a better version of myself.  I strive to show them that through hard work and dedication they can achieve their goals even when life throws you a few curve balls.
