The 6th Annual Spine Fellowship Graduation Ceremony took place on July 24, 2019. Visiting professor, Darrel S. Brodke, MD, the Louis S. Peery, MD and Janet B. Peery Presidential Endowed Chair, Professor and Executive Vice Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Utah, presented, “Value and the role of patient satisfaction” and “Geriatric odontoid fracture – a sentinel event”.
The Washington University Orthopedics Spine Fellowship Program began in 1991. Fellows are trained for all spinal diseases and conditions of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine: both degenerative and deformity, trauma and tumor, and pediatric and adult. As of August 1, 2019, 82 fellows have been trained.
