Dr. Heidi Prather was elected as the President of the North American Spine Society (NASS) at the NASS 29th Annual Meeting in San Francisco. Dr. Prather is the first female to hold this prestigious position.
The NASS is a global multidisciplinary medical society that utilizes education, research and advocacy to foster the highest quality, ethical, value-and evidence-based spine care for patients. To learn more about the NASS, click here.
Dr. Prather is a Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Washington University School of Medicine. She is the Chief of Section in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Musculoskeletal Sports Medicine Fellowship Co-Director, and the Director of the Orthopaedic Spine Center.
Dr. Prather’s practice focuses on the conservative management of all musculoskeletal conditions with a special interest in young adult hip, spine, female athletes, and women’s health. Dr. Prather is a team consultant for the St. Louis Blues and other area athletic teams.
