Dr. Jacob's clinical interests focus on Acquired Brain Injury including traumatic, non-traumatic and Brain Tumor Rehabilitation, as well as spasticity management. Dr. Jacob also has a strong interest in medical student and resident education. Dr. Jacob currently serves as the Medical Director for the Joint Commission accredited inpatient Brain Injury Rehabilitation program at the Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis.

Research Interests 

Dr. Jacob's research interests surround acquired brain injury recovery and rehabilitation as well as spasticity. 

Background

Dr. Jacob earned a medical degree from Kottayam Medical College at Mahatma Gandhi University in Kerala, India. She worked as a Palliative Care Physician in the Republic of Ireland before migrating to US. She then completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and joined as clinical teaching faculty with the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program in 2009. In the past, she has served as the Vice President of the Medical Executive Committee at the Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis.
