Meet Betsy Webb, RN, BSN

Nurse Supervisor

Betsy Webb is a nurse supervisor for the Department of Orthopedic Surgery Spine Division.

What do you find most interesting or rewarding about your role?

What I find most rewarding about my role is helping patients achieve meaningful improvements in their mobility, pain management, and quality of life. I support patients throughout the continuum of care surrounding surgery, serving as a consistent point of contact for education, questions, and concerns. I collaborate closely with Dr. Mark Lambrechts to ensure we deliver the highest standard of care, and I take great pride in contributing to a positive, supportive experience for each patient. Feeling seen, respected, and valued in my role makes this work especially fulfilling and reinforces my passion for what I do.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my family. I have two daughters, ages five and three, who keep life fun and busy. My husband and I often joke that our yellow lab, Beau, is our third child – he competes with the girls for just as much attention. I’m also a big sports fan, especially when it comes to college football. It’s my favorite time of year, and I always enjoy talking football with anyone who shares my enthusiasm. War Eagle!

Anything else you'd like to share?

While medicine is a science-driven field, I enjoy opportunities to express my creative side. I love to cook and am always trying out new recipes – I get bored easily, so experimenting in the kitchen keeps things fun and fresh. I also enjoy painting when I have the time and have several pieces displayed in my home. Music is another passion of mine, and I can (allegedly!) play six different instruments. I’ve always wanted to learn the cello or violin, which would be next on my list if time allowed. And while I enjoy many creative outlets, sewing is not one of my strengths – maybe one day I’ll attempt to tackle that skill!
