Meet Diana Rice
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Where are you from? 
I am originally from Dallas, TX. Although, I have spent a fair time in multiple states I am hoping I have found my niche here in St. Louis!
What brought you to Washington University Orthopedics?
I was drawn to WashU Orthopedics given its prestigious reputation and community involvement.
How do you support the department?
Pediatric orthopedics has always been a specialty of interest! I am passionate about protecting and serving children. Working in orthopedics affords me this opportunity and opens doors I never dreamt would be opened.
What aspect of your work do you find most interesting and rewarding? 
I am most rewarded anytime I make a child smile or laugh. It's the best feeling!
What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
My favorite thing to do outside of work is spending time with my family. I love watching my daughter swim and run and snuggling with my son.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
Although very cliche, the best advice I received was, "I can accomplish anything I set my mind to and never give up."
If you weren't in healthcare, what would you like to be doing?
If I wasn't in healthcare I would probably be a professional hugger or a veterinarian.
