Meet Tiffany Tatum

Office Manager of Administrative Services

Where are you from?

I was born and raised in St. Louis. Go Cards and LGB!

What brought you to Washington University Orthopedics?

I was interested in a change in career and when I saw the open job role I thought I’d be the perfect fit and I applied.

How do you support the department?

As an administrative manager I will manage a team of 18 administrative professionals (supervisors) who oversee the administrative/fellowship coordinators who perform clerical duties for our group of orthopedic providers. My team works closely with the providers to assist with day to day work loads and making sure that while we are behind the scenes, our providers have great administrative help to provide front line care.

What aspect of your work do you find most interesting or rewarding?

I find that helping others, finding solutions, and thinking outside the box keeps work interesting and rewarding.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?

I enjoy cooking, live music, and traveling.

What's the best advice you ever received?

Take chances and chances lead to greatness.

If you weren't in health care, what would you like to be doing?

I would be an entrepreneur. I would own a restaurant/catering company.

Anything else you would like to share?

I come from a large family. This past year we completed the Walk For Pancreatic Cancer in honor of my mom. I love to go to brunch with Family and Friends.
