Susan specializes in inpatient care for medically complex inpatient rehabilitation patients, including left ventricular assist device (LVAD), solid organ transplant, oncology, cardiopulmonary deconditioning/surgical, and polytrauma, as well as post-limb loss and prosthetic rehabilitation.

Susan earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Maryville University in St. Louis, MO, then completed a master's degree in adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner degree from Goldfarb School of Nursing in St. Louis, MO. Prior to working in neuro rehabilitation, Susan specialized in pediatric primary care nursing. She also has extensive experience in the coordination of industry sponsored and physician initiated clinical trials at Washington University in pediatric infectious disease, adult infectious disease, hematology, neurosurgery, and gastroenterology/irritable bowel diseases.
