Washington University Orthopedics has access to a number of related programs and services at Washington University Medical Center that benefit our orthopedic patients. In addition to our orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists and other physicians on our staff specialize in the conservative, or non-operative, treatment of orthopedic conditions. Conservative treatment options include a wide range of physical medicine therapies including conditioning, strengthening and performance enhancement, injections for pain management and inflammation, as well as more advanced management plans.
If you require an operation, Washington University orthopedic surgeons work side by side as a team with your primary care physician, physical and occupational therapists and other health care professionals to develop a comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation plan to help you return to activity.
