Farshid Guilak, PhD, and Anna Miller, MD, FACS, were one of five teams across Washington University Orthopedics selected to receive funding in the Leadership in Entrepreneurial Acceleration Program/LEAP Inventor Challenge. Their winning project is an absorbable, vacuum-sealing biomaterial for complex wounds to speed patients’ healing without returning to the operating room.
