Dr. Grover’s clinical interests focus on post-limb loss and limb difference rehabilitation, prosthetic candidacy, component selection, and community reintegration. He is a board-certified physiatrist and provides clinical care in both clinic and hospital settings. He serves as the Program Medical Director for Amputation Rehabilitation at The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis, and the primary physician for the Post-limb Loss Rehabilitation Clinic. He leads the continuum-of-limb-care implementation effort across departments at Washington University. He trains physiatry residents in limb loss rehabilitation at Washington University.

In addition to clinical care and leadership for post-limb loss rehabilitation, Dr. Grover serves in a broader rehabilitation leadership role as Medical Director for The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis. He helped develop robust institutional inpatient rehabilitation care processes for the ongoing pandemic with the Rehabilitation Institute team, and has been nationally published and interviewed for COVID-19 related inpatient rehabilitation care.

Background

Dr. Grover earned his medical degree from the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, India. He completed his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Marquette University and NIDRR Advanced Rehabilitation Research Training Fellowship at the Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Engineering Center, Medical College of Wisconsin and Marquette University in Milwaukee. This was followed by residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Washington University School of Medicine and a Masters in Healthcare Administration at Missouri State University.

With this diverse background spanning rehabilitation, engineering, and leadership, Dr. Grover’s clinical, research, program development and advocacy efforts are focused on comprehensive limb care, care system development, provider and patient education, and prosthetics/rehabilitation access facilitation for persons with limb loss.

Nationally, he chairs the Limb Care Networking Group at American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, and serves on the Scientific and Medical Advisory Committee at the Amputee Collation, the largest national limb-loss patient advocacy organization. In addition, Dr. Grover serves on the Quality, Practice, Policy and Research Committee at the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as on other national rehabilitation related panels.
