Spine surgeon Deeptee Jain, MD, was invited to moderate a breakout session at the 2020 Forbes Healthcare Summit, noted as one of the most prestigious and influential healthcare conferences in the nation.
Held virtually December 2-3 2020, the Forbes Healthcare Summit featured top healthcare executives and leaders from around the world. The theme focused on a multitude of healthcare topics related to the current pandemic, and how recent technological and biopharma discoveries can improve patient care as we move into 2021.
Dr. Jain moderated a session entitled Lessons from the Pandemic: From the Front Lines to the Future, where she interviewed Michael J. Dowling (president and chief executive officer of Northwell Health), Gary J. Nabel MD, PhD (former chief scientific officer of Sanofi and previous director of the Vaccine Research Center, NIAID, NIH (2012-2020)), and Brian S. Tyler (chief executive officer of McKesson Corporation). Their discussion centered around what the healthcare community has learned from the pandemic and what measures can be taken today to prevent a more detrimental outbreak.
Dr. Jain is an assistant professor of orthopaedic and neurological surgery in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine. Her practice focuses on the treatment of degenerative spine conditions through minimally invasive procedures.
