Hip specialists John Clohisy, MD, and Jeffery Nepple, MD, MS, co-chaired the 7th St. Louis Hip Skills Course, hosted by Washington University School of Medicine and St. Louis University. The event was held Friday, January 31, and Saturday, February 1, on the St. Louis University Campus.
This year’s course brought thought leaders in the field of hip surgery to St. Louis, hosting surgeons from around the world, including Poland, Mexico, China and Indonesia. The course focused on the latest surgical techniques for hip arthroscopy and hip preservation. The techniques are taught through lectures, surgical case demonstrations, and an interactive hands-on lab.
The Adolescent and Young Adult Hip Disorders Center at Washington University Orthopedics is a leader in providing hip preservation treatment for hip pain in young, active adults. Early intervention can reduce pain, improve function and delay arthritis progression over time.
