Jeremy J. McCormick, MD, Joins Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Foundation Board of Directors

St. Louis Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgeon to Serve Philanthropic Arm of AOFAS®

Rosemont, Ill. (August 18, 2018) - Foot and ankle orthopaedic surgeon Jeremy J. McCormick, MDand Washington University Associate Professor, Jeremy J. McCormick, MD, has been installed as a member-at-large for the Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Foundation Board of Directors. The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society® (AOFAS) that advances the Society’s mission by funding and promoting education, research, and humanitarian endeavors. 

“I am honored to join the Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Foundation Board of Directors,” said Dr. McCormick. “I am looking forward to working towards increasing the funding for important AOFAS projects such as the Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Outcomes Research Network (OFAR) (the databank that collects patient-reported outcomes on foot and ankle disorders), the Visiting Professor Program designed for residency programs without formal foot and ankle education, and the Foundation’s continued humanitarian efforts.”

Dr. McCormick earned his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago, his internship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. He completed his fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the OrthoCarolina Foot & Ankle Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina. His current clinical work is through Washington University Orthopedics with hospital affiliations at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Barnes-Jewish Hospital Outpatient Orthopedic Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

Prior to joining the Foundation Board of Directors, Dr. McCormick served as AOFAS Program Chair developing educational content for meetings and courses. He has also co-authored several studies published in the official journal of AOFAS, Foot & Ankle International (FAI).
