Dr. Rothrock is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He is fellowship-trained in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery and has been practicing in St. Louis since 2003. Dr. Rothrock has over 20 years of experience treating shoulder and knee work-related injuries and is passionate about delivering excellent patient care.

Dr. Rothrock will be leading an effort to care for injured workers in the St. Louis region and to develop a comprehensive, multidisciplinary Workers’ Compensation Program at WashU Orthopedics.

Background

Born and raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Dr. Rothrock graduated from Penn State University in State College, PA, and received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Exercise Physiology.

Dr. Rothrock earned his medical degree from Penn State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA, and then completed an orthopedic residency at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. He was then chosen to participate in a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH, where he was a team physician for the Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers, Indians, Rockers, and Barons, as well as John Carroll University.

Dr. Rothrock has been in private practice in St. Louis since 2003. He was a partner in a group practice for six years and then a founder and owner of a solo-private practice for 15 years before joining WashU Orthopedics.
