How We Achieve Excellence in Joint Replacement Recovery

Comprehensive, proactive and evidence-based care practices that have been found to improve the quality and safety of joint replacement procedures include:

  • Identifying risk factors prior to surgery
  • Offering a Joint Class to educating patients and their “Joint Coach” caregiver to assist them before and after surgery
  • Implementing Rapid Recovery protocols while in the hospital to reduce risk of complications and get patients back on their feet
  • Assigning an Outpatient Case Manager who proactively maintains contact with a patient following discharge from the hospital
