Martin Boyer, MDMartin I. Boyer, MD, FRCS(C), was recently elected as the Vice President of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH). Dr. Boyer,  the Carol B. and Jerome T. Loeb Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, is a noted leader in hand surgery. Dr. Boyer will assume the role of President of the Hand Society in the fall of 2019.   

In addition to his national and international activities, Dr. Boyer has been a major contributor to the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Washington University School of Medicine. He is the co-chief of the hand and microsurgery service, the director of the hand and microsurgery fellowship program, and the director of medical student education in musculoskeletal surgery and medicine at Washington University School of Medicine. 

Congratulations to Dr. Boyer on this well-deserved accomplishment.
