Replantation Surgery

Working with heavy machinery places the fingers and hand at risk of severe injury. Rarely, a patient’s thumb, fingers or even the entire hand can be accidentally cut off. The orthopedic hand surgeons have both the experience and the necessary skill for the reattachment of these amputated parts if it is in the best interest of the patient. This delicate surgery involves the sewing together of nerves and blood vessels with sutures that are smaller than a human hair, and repair of both bone and tendons as well.
