Jeffrey E. Johnson, MD, Chief of Service
Dr. Johnson is an Associate Professor pf Orthopaedic Surgery and Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1980. Following a residency in orthopedic surgery at the Mayo Clinic, he served a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the University of Texas in Houston. Dr. Johnson’s clinical interests are in adult and adolescent foot and ankle disorders, including trauma and trauma-related deformities, sports injuries of the foot and ankle, arthritis, flat foot and high-arched foot deformities, neuromuscular disease, bunions, hammertoes, foot and ankle arthroscopy, foot complications of diabetes, and shockwave therapy for heel pain. In addition to numerous honors and recognitions, Dr. Johnson has been ranked among the best orthopedic surgeons in the nation by Best Doctors in America. Along with his active clinical practice, Dr. Johnson is involved in research focusing on the effects of shockwave therapy in treating heel pain, treatment of diabetic foot complications, adult flat foot deformity and arthritic conditions of the great toe.
Sandra E. Klein, M.D.
Dr. Klein is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine and completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. She completed fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at the Foundation for Orthopaedic, Athletic and Reconstructive Research in Houston, Texas. Dr Klein’s practice focuses on the evaluation of all types of adult and adolescent foot and ankle disorders, including foot and ankle arthritic conditions, deformity correction, trauma, sports injuries and reconstructive procedures. She has special interests in arthroscopic procedures and women’s foot conditions and disorders. Her research interests include forefoot deformity and sports injuries of the foot and ankle. As a physician with Washington University Orthopedics, Dr. Klein sees patients at the Center for Advanced Medicine and the Chesterfield Outpatient Orthopedic Center.
Jeremy McCormick, M.D.
Dr. McCormick is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Loyola University of Chicago and completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at University of Massachusetts School of Medicine. He completed fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at OrthoCarolina Foot and Ankle Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. McCormick’s practice centers on the evaluation and treatment of all adult and adolescent foot and ankle disorders. He has a special interest in sports and dance injuries, arthroscopic treatment of foot and ankle disorders, and external fixation for deformity correction. His research interests include turf toe injury, navicular stress fractures, anterior tibial tendon rupture, and athletic injuries of the foot and ankle. Dr. McCormick sees patients at the Chesterfield Outpatient Orthopedic Center, The Center for Advanced Medicine and the VA.
