Clinic

Fellows participate in hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder clinics:

A multitude of upper extremity problems are seen every year, with over 3,500 patient visits occurring at the various clinics of the different attending staff surgeons every year. In addition to these clinics, the Fellow runs the Wohl Hospital Clinic, a clinic where the Fellow is able to make independent assessment and treatment decisions without an attending staff surgeon physically present. Fellows will often discuss cases encountered in this clinic with the attending surgeons, and plan surgery accordingly. While independence is encouraged, attending surgeon availability for cases occurs 100% of the time.

Operating Rooms

Operating rooms at all locations are fully equipped for hand and upper extremity surgery, with mini fluoroscopy units available and complete set-up for upper extremity arthroscopy.

Laboratory and Research Facilities

The Orthopaedic Laboratory at the Clinical Sciences Research Building contains 3150 square feet of space. This space includes animal operating rooms, cadaverdissections spaces, and operating microscope and equipment for histologic, biochemical and biomechanical analysis.

Fresh cadaver extremities are available for research or dissection.

The Yalem Research Facility is a 3500 square foot space that includes a fully equipped basic science laboratory.
