Application Information

The Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Fellowship Program within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery participates in the Specialty Match through the NRMP.  If you are interested in applying for our fellowship, please complete a universal application form (with small, recent photograph attached) and submit it with a personal statement, curriculum vitae, an official transcript from your medical school (original required – photocopy not accepted), a Dean’s Letter from the Dean of your Medical School, and three to four letters of recommendation from surgeons who are familiar with your work.  Recommendation letters should not accompany your application, but be sent to us directly from the physician writing the letter.  Please be certain to include your e-mail address on your application and/or curriculum vitae.

All applicants must be eligible for work in the United States and for a permanent Missouri medical license.

Attention graduates of non-LMCC accredited schools:  Please consult the MO Board of Registration for the Healing Arts at (573) 751-0098 to inquire about your specific eligibility for permanent medical licensure in the state of Missouri prior to completing a fellowship application.

Deadline

Applications are accepted for the upcoming specialty match until December 15th. Applications received after this date will be reviewed at the discretion of the fellowship director.

Interviews

Interviews are conducted in March. Applicants selected to interview will be contacted well in advance.
